Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention                                                          (S.H.A.R.P.)

Unfortunately, Sevierville and surrounding areas are not free of Sexual Harassment/Assaults. In the year of 2005, Sevierville Police Department has reported:

  10 'Reported' Rapes
  66 Cases of Physical and/or Sexual Assault
  281 Cases of Harassment/Threats



SHARP is a class for the NON-martial art woman. The class is designed to teach women from their teenage years to there eighties safety in their everyday life. The class covers everything from knowing about one's environment to learning to protect one's self from an assailant. The classes’ main objective is to teach women to learn to detect a danger and then the best way to handle it. This includes flirtatious behavior at work to an aggressive man in a bar. Knowing your environment and avoiding the escalating behavior of an assailant is the key to staying safe.

 This class can be taught at a place of business, church, or to a group of friends.
